Podróżowanie z Polski do Lwowa może obfitować w wiele niespodzianek, w związku z nieodmiennie nieprzewidywalną granicą polsko-ukraińską, jednak z reguły odbywa się utartym od lat szlakiem. Można samolotem - z Warszawy. Pociągi są rzadkie i drogie, za to dość wygodne, jeśli nie liczyć składu Sanok-Chyrów. Autobusy są relatywnie szybkie i jest ich dużo więcej, ale czasem Ukraińcy umyślają sobie przegonić pasażerów przez terminal, zaś wybór pomiędzy nocnym kuleniem się na fotelu w pokracznej pozie lub dziennym uczestniczeniem w folklorze przemytniczym nie dla każdego wydaje się akceptowalny. Przejazd samochodem jest fajny, dopóki nie trafimy na wielką dziurę w ulicy, bądź na wielką kolejkę w drodze powrotnej na granicy. Niechlubną palmę pierwszeństwa w dziedzinie atrakcji w drodze powrotnej z dumą dzierży jednak przejście piesze w Medyce - miejsce, gdzie instynkty pierwotne wypełzają na wierzch. Słowem, do wyboru - do koloru.
